This year Yakov and Partners consulting company took part in the annual conference hosted by the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University for the first time. Major domestic companies used the three-day event as a platform to inform students fr om all over the country about the current economic and business trends, as well as opportunities for professional growth arising at the intersection of various competencies.
To attend this conference, students undergo a thorough selection process, first submitting a portfolio, and then taking a verbal/numerical test and doing a video interview. Based on the selection results, only 115 out of 1500 participants got a three-day invitation to the GSOM SPbU campus.
Gennady Masakov, Director of the Yakov and Partners Research & Insights center, spoke at the Central Plenary Session titled “The Economy of the Russian Arctic and Far East: Growth at the Nexus of Competencies”. The discussion was moderated by Olga Dergunova, Deputy President, Chair of the Management Board of VTB Bank and Director of the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University.
Vitaly Titov, Engagement Manager at Yakov and Partners Digital, shared some inhouse expertise during the panel discussion titled “Strategies for the Development of Digital Platforms”.“The industry focus of a university is not necessarily something that should guide one’s choice of education.
